Hello Dear Readers!
Yes! I am having my first giveaway of the new year! I had so much fun with the cutter quilt stars at Christmas time, I thought I would do one for Valentine's Day. For this giveaway, I am doing a pair of Cutter Quilt Hearts--I cut the hearts from cutter quilt blocks that I made, did a blanket stitch around the raw edges and then crocheted a simple edging around the heart. I then tea stained them and stitched them to tea stained Onasburg hearts. On the front there are rusty pins with little round labels, one with the sentiment of 'Love U' and the other with 'XO XO'. I love how they turned out, and here they are!! Aren't they DARLING??
OK! Rules for the Giveaway! This Giveaway is open to followers in the US and Canada!
1) Be a member of my blog! New members are always welcome! Share with us a moment with a special loved one if you would like! Favorite song, how you met, how you knew they were the 'ONE' what ever you would like to share!

If I don't hear from the winner, I will draw a new winner! As soon as the winner has responded, the hearts will be out the next day! Good Luck!!!

I am a member of your Blog, and those hearts are just beautiful....I met my DH in '98 in, of all places, an AOL Chat room,, July 26, my parent's wedding anniversary. After 2 weeks of chatting online, he started calling me..By October we were head over heals in love, and he flew me to NY State to meet him, telling me, if we hit it off, he would not let me come home. That was a Monday. By Saturday, we were driving to Ohio to pack up my stuff, and the following Monday heading back to his home. I have never looked back. A year later we were married.. I knew he was the one the minute I heard his voice for the first time. He knew I was the one because I never asked him what he did for a living, and told him it didn't matter to me whether he was wealthy, or lived in a cardboard box. He wanted to make me the happiest woman in the world, and he has. I have every special email, and card from that time put in a box, and still read them from time to time. Our Song is "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls. Above all else, he is my best friend, and to me, that is very important in a marriage.

ReplyDeleteI met my husband (business..he was in sales and I a purchasing agent) It was business lunches and he would always call me on my birthday for the next couple of years. He was married and so was I. Then I did not hear from him for a couple of years. Then one day he reappeared. We had lunch one day (still business) and I had just broken up with my boyfriend and told him I was going to country/western dance class every Wed...just making small talk. I never thought anything about our lunch talk until the phone rang one Tuesday afternoon (about 4 weeks later) at work and all he said was "do you still need a dance partner tomorrow night?" and I said yes and as the old saying goes..the rest is history.
smiles and huggs
